In August 2021, we acquired Clēnera, a leading greenfield developer of solar energy and energy storage projects in the United States. Established in 2013 by two co-founders, Clēnera developed and sold 1.6 GW of solar energy projects prior to our acquisition. With its headquarters located in Boise, Idaho, Clēnera is a market leader in the Western United States, pioneering some of the largest renewable energy projects in the region.
The acquisition was a major milestone for Enlight and we believe that Clēnera will be an important part of our business as the energy transition in the United States accelerates, particularly in light of the passage of the Inflation Reduction Act.
