Procurement Manager

Israel

Responsibilities:

  • Performing an integral and central role in the procurement team, which responsible for all the company’s procurement activities, reporting directly to the Director of Procurement, Contracting and Logistics
  • Management of procurement and contracts in diverse areas of procurement from both Israeli and global suppliers (mainly from the Far East)
  • Locating new suppliers and sources of supply while creating on-going interfaces with suppliers and contractors
  • Submitting requests for competitive quotes, determining the most efficient source of supply, and conducting negotiations with approved suppliers
  • Drafting various contracts, managing negotiations while striving to meet budget goals and schedule, accompanying transactions, and providing support to the various departments for all the company’s branches
  • Conducting regular audits to monitor suppliers’ performance and compliance with commercial conditions

Requierments:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Logistics/Law/Business administration/Industrial Engineering and Management or another relevant field – a must
  • 5-7 years of experience in procurement and contracting – a must
  • Proven experience in procurement work such as locating suppliers, negotiating, and closing agreements with suppliers in Israel and abroad – a must
  • Proven ability to lead global procurement activities
  • Technical orientation – a significant advantage
  • High level of English (speaking, reading, and writing) – a must
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team
  • Creative thinking to provide solutions to current problems with suppliers and contractors
  • High motivation and proven ability to prioritize and balance both short- and long-term activities
